You perform.
You persist.
You’re still not free.

You’ve built the résumé. You hit the gym. You hold it together. But the noise doesn’t stop — and part of you wonders if you’ve ever truly earned the ground you’re standing on. That’s not weakness. That’s chronic stress wearing the mask of success.

Recognize this?

You're performing.
But you're not
recovering.

Chronic stress for high-achievers rarely looks like collapse. It looks like coping — with a hidden cost that compounds over time.

  • Brain always "on" — you crushed your workout, hit your targets, but you're still replaying that meeting at 11pm
  • Irritability at home — you perform for everyone else all day, then snap at the people who actually matter
  • Sleep that doesn't restore — you track the HRV, wear the ring, do everything right — and still wake up behind
  • The win lands flat — you hit the target, closed the deal, PR'd the lift — and felt nothing lasting
"I had the career, the numbers, the training discipline. On paper I was winning. Inside I was waiting for someone to figure out I didn’t belong there. That gap — between the image and the interior — was exhausting me."

— Composite of client experiences. Names and identifiers changed.

This is chronic stress resilience work — not therapy, not crisis care. It's precision training for professionals who are still performing but want to recover, regulate, and operate with far more ease. Non-clinical coaching. Not therapy or diagnosis.

The Framework

A three-phase system built
for your nervous system

Mindfulness coaching for chronic stress isn't generalised meditation. It is a structured sequence — stabilise, rewire, embed — tailored to how high-achieving professionals actually live and are wired neurologically.

01

Stabilise the nervous system

Before rewiring stress patterns, the body needs a reliable anchor. We build a repeatable toolkit of mindfulness-based, breath-centred, and somatic grounding practices — calibrated to your schedule, your personality, and your actual stress profile.

Present-moment awareness Breath regulation Somatic grounding
02

Rewire stress reactivity

Using short guided focal-state sessions — hypnosis-informed, framed as deep focus or conditioned relaxation — we interrupt the automatic stress loops that drain cognitive and emotional resources. Non-clinical. Evidence-adjacent. Explicitly not entertainment-style hypnosis.

Deep focus states Conditioned relaxation Cognitive reframing
03

Embed resilience in daily life

Sustainable change lives in ordinary moments. We design micro-recoveries and precision habits that slot naturally into a demanding, high-income lifestyle — complementing fitness, sleep hygiene, and performance routines without adding complexity.

Habit architecture Micro-recovery design Performance integration
Clinical clarity: This is non-clinical coaching — it does not diagnose, treat, or manage any mental health condition. These practices train stress-resilience capacity, not clinical mental health outcomes. Where clinical care is indicated, we refer.

Who This Is For

Built for professionals who are high-achieving, health-conscious, and quietly worn down by chronic stress.

  • You perform at a high level — but the "off" switch is hard to find, and recovery takes longer than it used to
  • Health and fitness are genuine priorities — you invest in your body, but your nervous system is still running in red-zone mode
  • Rational and science-curious — not looking for dogma or "woo," but genuinely open to what has a real mechanism of action
  • Family and work both matter deeply — and the friction between being fully present in each is where the real cost lands
A note on how you're wired: If you zone out in films, get deeply absorbed in sports or music, or have a strong imagination and visualization capacity — these tools are optimised for your neurological profile. You are already predisposed to benefit from deep-focus and conditioned-relaxation techniques.
Scope & Design

What this coaching does — and what it doesn't

Mindfulness Coaching supports you to cultivate present-moment awareness, reduce reactivity, and build resilience in daily life. This is non-clinical coaching, not therapy or diagnosis, designed to help you navigate stress, transitions, and performance-related challenges with greater clarity and self-care.

This coaching supports:

  • Chronic stress resilience and sustainable recovery between high-pressure periods
  • Sleep quality and emotional regulation in demanding professional contexts
  • Mindfulness-based focus training and performance clarity
  • Career transitions and high-responsibility life stage navigation
  • Burnout prevention — for professionals who are still functional but feel the edge approaching

This coaching is not:

  • Therapy, psychotherapy, diagnosis, or treatment of any mental health condition
  • Appropriate for active psychiatric crisis, severe dissociative conditions, or acute trauma without clinical support
  • A replacement for clinical care where clinical care is clearly indicated
All prospective clients complete a brief intake screening. Where clinical referral is indicated, we say so clearly and facilitate the connection to appropriate support.
"I was managing a multi-million dollar portfolio of projects, always on call, and completely unable to be present with my partner at home. I didn't need therapy — I needed a system for my nervous system. Within six weeks I could feel the difference in how fast I recovered between a brutal Monday and showing up Tuesday morning."

"I'm good at doing. Healthcare management is all execution. What I wasn't good at was recovering after long shifts and high-stakes decisions. The deep-focus work — I'd call it a kind of directed reset — gave me access to a quieter gear I didn't know I had. My sleep changed within the first month."

About the Coach

14 years of clinical precision.
One focused application.

I am a Florida-licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) and board-certified counselor (NCC) with 14 years of clinical experience — including a Qualified Supervisor designation for LMHC and LMFT licensure in Florida. My work is clinically grounded and deliberately applied to one specific problem: the chronic stress load that high-achieving professionals carry quietly, and for too long.

"Mindfulness Coaching supports you to cultivate present-moment awareness, reduce reactivity, and build resilience in daily life. This is non-clinical coaching, not therapy or diagnosis, and is designed to help you navigate stress, transitions, and performance-related challenges with greater clarity and self-care."

My method draws on a rare convergence of evidence-adjacent disciplines: Mindful Hypnosis™ training (Dr. Liz Slonena, PsyD — co-creator of the Mindful Hypnosis protocol, Society for Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART Basic Practitioner, Rosenzweig Center), certification in mindfulness-informed practice (CMIP, Evergreen Certifications), trauma specialisation (CCTP), and ADHD clinical expertise (ADHD-CCSP). Harvard Medical School Executive Education in Lifestyle and Wellness Coaching (in progress). NSF REU Research Grant recipient in quantitative psychology.

A note on cognitive wiring and hypnotizability

Research by Tellegen & Atkinson (1974) established that absorption — the capacity for deep imaginative involvement and sustained internal focus — is the strongest stable personality predictor of hypnotic responsiveness. High-achieving professionals who are intellectually intensive, prone to rumination, easily absorbed in complex problems, music, or sport, and who have strong visualization capacity tend to score high on absorption scales. This is not a vulnerability. It is a cognitive asset — and it is precisely what makes Mindful Hypnosis™ and deep-focus protocols work efficiently for this population.

Questions

What professionals ask
before starting

No. Mindful Flourish is non-clinical coaching — it does not diagnose, treat, or manage any mental health condition. If you are experiencing symptoms of clinical depression, anxiety disorder, active trauma response, or another psychiatric condition, we will identify this during intake and connect you with appropriate clinical care. Coaching is designed to work alongside clinical care, not replace it.
I use hypnosis-informed, evidence-adjacent techniques oriented toward deep relaxation, focused attention, and conditioned calm. These are framed as stress-reduction training and deep-focus practice — not entertainment-style hypnosis. You remain aware and in control throughout. The techniques draw on well-established research in focused attention states, conditioned relaxation response, and neurological recovery from chronic stress.
These practices are safe for most adults. Before we begin, we conduct a structured intake screening that covers dissociation history, trauma background, and current mental health status. If anything in your history indicates that clinical care should come first — or that specific techniques are contraindicated for you — we will be direct about that and help you find the right support. Your safety is the first priority, not conversion.
Healthy skepticism is welcome. "Mindfulness" in this context means trained present-moment attention — a cognitive skill with a strong neurological evidence base, not a spiritual or religious practice. The methods are secular, practical, and designed to integrate with existing performance routines like fitness, sleep hygiene, and structured work habits. If you've ever been completely absorbed in solving a complex problem, felt automatic calm in familiar high-stakes situations, or reached a flow state during physical training — those are the same attentional mechanisms we train deliberately.
Coaching is delivered via telehealth video session, which fits naturally into a demanding professional schedule. This makes it accessible from anywhere in Ontario, across Canada, or for English-speaking clients in the US and UK. I work with professionals in Toronto, the GTA, Ottawa, Hamilton, Waterloo Region, and remotely. If you are based in Toronto and specifically interested in in-person options, contact us to discuss availability.
Apps and programs deliver content. Coaching delivers calibration. The critical difference is feedback loops — someone who can see your specific patterns, adjust protocols when they aren't working for your particular stress profile, and hold you accountable to implementation in the context of your actual life. Generic content solves generic problems. This addresses the specific intersection of your cognitive wiring, your stress profile, and your professional demands.
